After a long day of blogging and painting I have ended up with something that I really like. After painting the face yesterday I moved on to the other skin of the body, I find it quite hard to paint the knees because I've never really had to do that before. Getting the shadows right is very hard and I might come back to them once theyre dry tomorrow. Tomorrow I plan to paint the t-shirt which is a challenge in itself because it had Al Pacino's face all over it. Who doesn't love a challenge?

I may also come back to the shorts and add more shadows and highlights depending on how well it dries. The background in itself is quite boring but I don't know if I like the mundainess of it to emphasise the normality of the person in the portrait. It is actually a self portrait of myself as a boy and what I am trying to get across is that now in society, if I decided that I didn't like my body and changed it to something completely different then that would be fine. Something normal. And therefore maybe the background is okay just being a boring grey.

We'll see.
